Woven brass wire bracelet  with sterling silver armadillo patterned box catch, length 18.5 cm, width 3 cm, fitting close to the wrist.

Sumba weaving 

A very unusual technique of wire weaving that has its origins from the islands of Sumba and Lombok where ritual belts were woven to be used in a marriage ceremony. Maru has explored the technique using silver, gold, copper, brass and stainless steel wire, for jewelry, objects and home wares.
